Kigezi Health Care Foundation (KIHEFO)
A local not-for-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to community development in Kabale, Uganda.  KIHEFO responds to the needs identified by individuals and communities by using a bottom-up, community-led approach, in which individual people and village groups are given the necessary care, resources and tools to become healthy, productive community members. Proceeds raised by RMPM will help to support improved access to KIHEFO’s cervical cancer screening and treatment program for women in rural settings.

Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST)
The department of Family Medicine and Community Practice at MUST seeks to train specialists in Family Medicine (FM) each year. The FM specialist is equipped with a wide range of medical knowledge and skills, and the training also focuses on the development of cultural competency, attitudes that promote holistic health care provisions within a community, and health care leadership skills. The purpose of this training is to address the human resource needs in underserved rural communities where more than 80% of the country’s population resides.

Street CCRED 

A community-based response to the suffering of Calgary’s most vulnerable citizens. It is an inclusive collaboration of volunteers, front-line service providers, academics and agencies that grassroots initiatives supporting the care for vulnerable citizens. Initiatives they have launched include but are not limited to the Calgary Allied Mobile Palliative Program, Medical Respite for the Homeless, and the Managed Alcohol program. Proceeds raised by RMPM will help to support the establishment of a new initiative focusing on community-driven overdose prevention in Calgary.

SHINE (Students for Health Innovation and Education) SHINE is a student-run group that focuses on bridging the gap between public health and medicine. Students in SHINE are involved in developing, implementing and evaluating research or community projects by partnering with community-based organizations at on-reserve schools, remand centres, and refugee clinics.
