SRC 2023 Equity Dinner
The Student Run Clinic invites you to join us at the SRC Health Equity Dinner, our Annual Fundraiser Gala. Mingle with colleagues, professionals and people in the community over cocktail hour and enjoy seated dinner and speeches including our keynote speaker, Lana Bentley. A silent auction and other activities will also be happening throughout the event.
About the Keynote Speaker: Lana Bentley
Lana Bentley is YW Calgary’s Director of Program Strategy. Prior to joining YW, Lana worked with Alberta Health Services where she spent most of her time in child and adolescent mental health. Lana has been a diligent advocate for mental health care in Calgary, particularly within vulenrable groups during and post-pandemic, advcating for investments towards sustainable community resources. Currently, Lana teaches part-time at Mount Royal University and the University of Calgary. Lana shares her time with Youth Central Calgary, the Calgary Black Chambers, and the Alberta College of Opticians. Lana is an admired champion of various groups in Calgary, having been involved with housing initiatives, mentorship for young professionals, domestic violence prevention efforts, and free drop-in counselling programs. Lana is committed to ensuring our community is safe and accessible for all, and will share her insights with guests of the SRC Health Equity Dinner on November 20th.
Ticket proceeds go towards charities in support of Calgary's most vulnerable populations, and are used to support ongoing efforts at the Student Run Clinic to provide healthcare access and resources to those in need.
