HOW WE OPERATE

OUR PARTNERS

Calgary-Dream-Center-1.png

The SRC recruits first and second-year medical students from the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary.

Clinics are typically run in the evenings to provide after-hours access to healthcare for patients. Clinics run once per week from 6:30 - 9:00 pm. Students work under the supervision of a physician to assess and manage patients. The SRC provides a budget to cover basic clinic supplies.

Wellness Workshops are currently administered by SRC volunteers. We provide evidence-based information and strategies for health and wellness management for a variety of topics. These include:

  • Physical activity and sleep hygiene

  • Nutrition

  • Art therapy

  • STI awareness

  • Diabetes management

We are happy to develop new workshops to fit your needs!

PARTNER WITH US!

We are always looking for new opportunities to serve the underserved!

If you are interested in our clinic services, we will need a small office or private room in which to assess patients that has power and internet access. We would also require a representative from your organization to allow us into this space after hours.

If you are interested in the Wellness Workshops, we will need an open gathering space with a projector for PowerPoint presentations.

To get involved with the Student-Run Clinic, email calgarysrc@gmail.com.
